PHOENIX -- A ridge of high pressure centered off the southern California coast will continue to bring a dry westerly, nearly cloudless skies, and some high temperatures through Thursday.

A weak Pacific disturbance will move into the region Thursday, resulting in breezy to windy conditions and slightly cooler temperatures for Friday.

A warming trend is expected by the weekend, with even warmer temperatures possible by next week as strong high pressure builds back into the region. It’s possible by next week we’ll see some highs around metro Phoenix in the 111-114 range.
