Map: Horse shot in Tolleson
TOLLESON, Ariz. -- Police in Tolleson are looking for the person responsible for shooting a horse in the head.
Police said 10-year-old Blanco was shot and wounded Saturday near 91st Avenue and Interstate 10.
Police believe the gunman fired the shot from a nearby field.
Police are not sure what type of gun was used, but the bullet went through Blanco's head then into his chest and shoulder.
The horse survived and is recovering.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Tolleson Police Department.
