GLOBE, Ariz. -- Residents of one Arizona city are being warned about their tap water.
City Manager Cynthia Seelhammer said one of Globe's wells tested positive for E. coli, but that doesn't necessarily mean the tap water is contaminated. The well water is chlorinated before it reaches homes for just this reason.
However, residents are being asked to take precautions just in case.
People are being encouraged to boil their water or use bottled water until further notice.
Residents can pick up fresh water at the local fire station or from the county courthouse. People need to bring their own containers.
According to Seelhammer, there have been no reports of anyone getting sick from the water.
