GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Police in Glendale are searching for a third suspect in connection with two shootings at an apartment complex earlier this month.
They say an 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy already are in custody in the Dec. 3 killing of 50-year-old Douglas Elliott.
Police say the Peoria man was on duty and working at the complex when he had a confrontation with three people that escalated into a shooting. He was pronounced dead at a hospital and two suspects in the case were arrested Dec. 6.
Police say both suspects are being held on first-degree murder charges.
But police now say the three suspects were involved in a separate non-fatal shooting earlier that night at the same apartment complex.
They were fleeing the scene when they were confronted by Elliott.
