PHOENIX – A Glendale man has pleaded guilty to several charges in connection with a burned body that was discovered dumped in the far West Valley last year.

Daniel Griffith, 33, pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree murder, abandonment/concealment of a body and fraudulent use of a credit card.

The victim's body was found in February 2012.

Glendale police said the body had been burned and dumped in the desert in the area of Olive and 195th avenues near the White Tank Mountain Regional Park.

Griffith is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 17.

His wife, Jennifer Griffith, awaits trial. She was arrested on one count of abandonment/concealment of body parts and one count of tampering with evidence.
