YARNELL, Ariz. -- Officials said a memorial service has been scheduled for the 19 firefighters killed Sunday while battling the Yarnell Hill Fire southwest of Prescott.

The service will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at Tim's Toyota Center, 3201 N. Main St., in Prescott Valley. There will be seating for 6,000 with overflow outside.

The bodies of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots crew members will be taken from Phoenix to Prescott in a public procession Sunday morning.

Under escort by the Joint Arizona Honor Guard, the fallen firefighters will be transported by 19 hearses, each accompanied by motorcycle escorts from various agencies. A fire engine will accompany the 80-mile procession, which will leave Phoenix at 10 a.m.

The bodies were taken to Phoenix on Monday for autopsies at the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office.

The lightning-caused fire started Friday. On Sunday, violent wind gusts shifted the direction of the fire, trapping the Prescott-based crew.

An investigation into their deaths is under way.

The fire has burned 8,400 acres and was 45 percent contained as of 6 p.m. Wednesday.
