GOODYEAR, Ariz.-- Thousands of runners are getting ready for some foamy fun, as they prepare for Saturday night's Foam Glow 5K fun run at the Goodyear Ballpark.

"We're very proud to be here," says Valerie Spata, one of the event organizers. "It will be all colors of foam all over the ballpark."

Foam Glow will be hosted in Goodyear on May 17. More than 8,000 runners, joggers, and walkers are expected to take part in the event, which is designed to raise money for Phoenix Children's Hospital.

The money raised for Phoenix Children's Hospital will be used to support childhood cancer research and development.

"It means so much for PCH and the kids and families," says Clayton Zenner of PCH. "It allows us do to so much more in different departments."

On Thursday, Bill Spata, 1N3 LLC President, presented PCH with a check for $15K. "We would like to encourage as much participation this weekend as possible, to try to get that check amount higher," Spata says.

Foam Glow is an approximate five kilometer fun run in which participants will encounter blacklight zones, feel good music, and glowing foam.

At the finish line, racers will be greeted by an after-party, where they can dance the night away with emcee Julio G and DJ Automatic, who will be mixing the newest Top 40 and EDM music.

At the after-party, Foam Glow's one-of-a-kind foam cannons will douse racers intermittently throughout the night with nearly 1.2 million cubic feet of glowing foam.
