FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – A house fire in Flagstaff Monday evening is under investigation.
All seven units and a battalion chief from the Flagstaff Fire Department responded to a fire at a home in the 5800 block of Abbey Road around 6 p.m.
Due to the complexity of the fire and the potential for it to spread, other partnering agencies were called for assistance, according to Capt. Kevin Wilson with the Flagstaff Fire Department.
The U.S. Forest Service helped extinguish small spot fires caused from burning embers in the wooded area near the home.
Wilson said the Summit Fire Department, Highlands Fire Department, Guardian Medical Transport and other law enforcement agencies responded either to the scene or to cover other calls in the city.
Crews were able to contain the fire to the one house. The residents were not home at the time.
No other homes or property were damaged and no one was injured.
