WILLIAMS, Ariz. - Bearizona welcomed their first cub ever to be born at the wildlife park.

The little cub was named 'Doc' in honor of Doc Casey, the father of Bearizona CEO Sean Casey.

Doc was born in the middle of January and was removed from the den on February 28.

He will join another cub rescued from Missouri earlier this month and they will play together all summer in Fort Bearizona, the walking portion of the park.

Doc and Itty, the Missouri bear, are currently on exhibit in the gift shop for visitors to get a very up close look before they move into their own exhibit.

Casey anticipates the cubs will move into their own exhibit sometime in April.

Bearizona is a half hour west of Flagstaff and only two hours northwest of Phoenix.

Bearizona opened for their 2011 season on March 1 and is open seven days a week.

You can get updates on the cubs via the park's Facebook page.
