PHOENIX – A fire at a vacant house in Phoenix Friday morning is under investigation.

Phoenix firefighters responded to the house fire near 16th Street and Osborn Road shortly before 8 a.m.

Crews found flames throughout the entire single-story home. They extinguished the fire and no one was injured.

A captain with the Phoenix Fire Department called the fire suspicious.

"There was no contents in the structure at all, it's down to the wood studs," Capt. David Karber said. "It looks like the power was secured already prior to the fire so I'm not sure what would have started the fire, but it's definitely suspicious."

An investigation is underway to determine the cause.

In addition to the fire, firefighters had to deal with bees after a beehive was found on the property.
