TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona State University's Sun Devil Stadium is under construction, but the 10th anniversary Pat's Run will end where it should, where it always has -- the specially painted 42-yard line of Frank Kush Field.

Pat's Run is Saturday, April 26, 7 a.m.-11 a.m. The Expo and Kids Corner open at 6 a.m. The wheelchair start is at 7 a.m. The main 4.2-mile race starts at 7:05 a.m. The 0.42-mile kids' run is at 9:45 a.m.

Nearly 35,000 racers, volunteers and spectators are expected to attend the annual run, which supports the Pat Tillman Foundation and the Tillman Military Scholars program. Pat's Run is the foundation's signature event.

To date, the Pat Tillman Foundation has invested more than $9 million in educational support for Tillman Military Scholars.

3TV's April Warnecke headed out to Sun Devil Stadium where participants started picking up their race packets. She talked to one of the organizers, a long-time participant and volunteer and a scholarship recipient who is just weeks from graduation.

Volunteers will be on hand at the stadium Wednesday until 6 p.m., Thursday, 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., to make sure participants get their packets. Runners must get their packets by 6 p.m. Friday; there is no race-day registration.

There are still a few slots left if you'd like to run, but they are going fast. At this point. You must register in person at Sun Devil Stadium.
