PHOENIX -- After a wild weekend of monsoon weather across the Valley, it appears we're in for a little break.  A drying trend is on tap for the deserts of the state, bringing our storm chances down to the slight category for the next few days.  Temperatures are also set to rise back to normal levels for the next few days.

Today, look for partly cloudy skies in the Valley and a high of only 99 degrees.  There's a chance for thunderstorms and potentially torrential rainfall today in the high country, but only about a 20-percent chance for isolated storms in the Valley.  Humidity will stay fairly high and it will continue to feel very muggy across the Valley.

Storm chances are slim for the Valley tomorrow and Wednesday, but will pick up a bit by the end of the week and weekend as monsoon moisture returns to our area.  In the meantime, high temperatures will climb a few degrees each day.

Look for temperatures to peak near 105 by Wednesday and Thursday.
