PHOENIX -- An elderly woman is in extremely critical condition after a crash at a central Phoenix intersection, according to police.
The woman was reportedly driving west on Highland Avenue, when she ran the red light at 16th Street and collided with a northbound vehicle.
Police initially reported that she had died but later said she was revived by medical staff at a hospital.
Police said the woman is in her 80s.
