PHOENIX -- Brenden Ore is hoping the fliers he has been passing out around Phoenix will help police catch his brother's killer.

Kevin Ore was found shot to death on the side of a road in a central Phoenix neighborhood Wednesday, May 7.

“You can't believe it's your family when you see the yellow tape and a body,” Brenden Ore said.

About 60 others helped pass out the Silent Witness fliers, hoping that the piece of paper sparks a tip, even an anonymous one, that will help solve the homicide.

“I lost my brother. It's horrible. It's really horrible,” Brenden Ore said.

He was last seen leaving Rum Runners Bar near Seventh Street and Butler Drive, where he worked as a bartender. Ore's friends said he wasn't working the night of Tuesday, May 6, but he had stayed to help close and was in good spirits when he left about 2 a.m. Wednesday.

His body was found about 5:45 a.m. in the area of Seventh Street and Las Palmaritas Drive, which is north of Northern Avenue.

“It's not OK. My family, we need to know what happened. There's no bringing him back,” Brenden Ore said.

If you have any information that could help in this case, you're urged to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
