PHOENIX -- A mostly dry cold front is working its way through Arizona, bringing dry and cooler weather as we head into the weekend.
The low pressure system brought a bit of rain to Northern Arizona yesterday and very windy weather and blowing dust to the deserts.
Today, cooler and drier air moves into the state behind the front. Look for lighter winds and mostly sunny skies by this afternoon and a Valley high of just 87 degrees. That's a ten degree drop from afternoon highs on Thursday.
Tonight, overnight lows will drop to the mid 50s to mid 60s around town under clear skies. Saturday, temperatures will only peak in the low 90s and Sunday will bring more sunshine and highs in the mid 90s. Overnight lows will continue in the 50s and 60s through the weekend.
