PHOENIX -- Fund-raising is pretty common at schools, but one Valley restaurant reportedly wasn't coming through for a fundraiser.

It started when parents and teachers at Tuscano Elementary School teamed up with Panda Express to raise some money for a school trip.

"We passed out fliers, we put up posters," Alexandra Repeta told us. Those fliers and posters were to drum up business for Panda Express off of 79th Avenue and Lower Buckeye.

According to Alexandra, Panda Express promised to donate a portion of their proceeds from a specific night to the school. So, Alexandra says parents, teachers and kids packed the restaurant and planned to use the money donated from Panda Express to take a field trip.

However, Alexandra says they never received any money. "We haven't received a check." Alexandra says they've been waiting five months, and nothing yet. She contacted Panda Express but was told it was a corporate issue, and she claims they kept giving them the runaround.

So, 3 On Your Side got involved. And when we did, Panda Express apologized that the issue fell through the cracks. They also sent Alexandra a check for the proceeds from that night.
