SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A man who Scottsdale police said caused a fatal crash on Wednesday had a suspended license and outstanding warrants.

Police said Jordan Walker, 29, of Phoenix, ran a red light at 64th Street and Camelback Road. His Lexus struck a Mercedes preparing to turn left at the intersection.

The front-seat passenger in the Mercedes was killed. He was identified as Morrison Fox, 95, of Phoenix. The 90-year-old driver, Phyllis Fox, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Police said speed and impairment were not factors in the collision.

Walker had a suspended license and warrants for numerous traffic violations out of Mesa.

He was cited for causing death while failing to stop for a red signal. He was arrested for the outstanding warrants and turned over to Mesa police.

The intersection was closed for two hours while police investigated the collision.
