PEORIA, Ariz. -- When you have a daughter, it's all about the hair. But it's not usually the dads who are helping their little girls get glam!

But that's all changing this weekend! In celebration of Father's Day, the Peoria Main Library is offering a Free Daddy Hair-Do 101 class to teach dads or grandpas how to do your daughter's or grand-daughter's hair properly.

Visiting expert stylists from Salon Rituals will help the guys master tricky hairstyles, including braids and perfect ponytails.

"They are going to learn to brush the hair out, how to comb it without hurting the hair," says Yvette Camet of Salon Rituals of Peoria. "They're going to learn how to part, possibly how to tease."

Dads are grateful for the advice. "When they have long hair, it's pretty tough," says one dad.

"She loves her hair being done," says another dad about his daughter.

The class is Saturday, June 14 at 2 p.m. at the Main Library, 8463 W. Monroe Street. Registration is required. To register, call 623-773-7562.
