US 93 reopens north of Wickenburg after fatal wreck

PHOENIX – A fatal tractor-trailer crash restricted U.S. 93 about 35 miles north of Wickenburg Thursday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Two tractor-trailers collided shortly after 4 a.m. in the southbound lanes.

Details were not immediately available, but the wreck blocked both directions.

Shortly before 6:30 a.m., more than two hours after the crash, ADOT partially reopened the roadway. the highway fully opened shortly before 11 a.m.

U.S. 93 is the main route between the Phoenix area and destinations including Kingman and Las Vegas.

Wickenburg is a little more than an hour northwest of Phoenix.
