BLACK CANYON CITY, Ariz. -- A crane tipped over on northbound Interstate 17 at milepost 247 near Bumble Bee Monday morning.
The crane tipped over when crews retracted the braces in order to move it at about 2 a.m., according to Raul Garcia with the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The crane came to rest on the side of a hill approaching the Bumble Bee exit.
There were no injuries reported.
At about noon, northbound I-17 was closed at Black Canyon City in order for crews to upright the rig.
The left lane was reopened at approximately 1:20 p.m., but the right lane remained closed until about 3:30 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Bumble Bee is approximately 55 miles north of Phoenix.
