CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Folks in Chandler will be raising their glasses this weekend to the first annual Craft Spirits Festival. Spirit suppliers from across the state and beyond are pouring in for the occasion.

"We'll be there making some cocktails," says Kristen Moleski of San Tan Brewery. "Not only with our beer but with some of the spirits that will be featured."

The city-wide celebration of the rising spirits and unique cocktail customs of Arizona will take place from 5:00 - 10:00 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Dr. AJ Chandler Park in Downtown Chandler.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership (DCCF), a non-profit organization that donates to a variety of deserving charities and causes that together help make the city a better place.

Spirit suppliers from across the state and beyond are pouring in for the occasion. Dozens of top suppliers and distillers have signed on, including Four Roses Bourbon, Cedar Ridge Distillery, Prichard's Distillery, Rhum Clement, Desert Diamond Distillers, Hood River Distillers and A. Hardy USA.

"We have a bunch of local ones coming out,  says  Moleski.  "We have some from Louisville, from across the nation are going to be here to help build their name."

Festival highlights include the "War of the Pour" craft cocktail bartending competition, in addition to an abundance of tastings, special classes and food and treats from a variety of local vendors. DJ Slippe will be on site pumping pulsating rhythms for guests to enjoy.

"Craft spirits are conquering the globe, with craft distilleries following in the footsteps of microbreweries," said Brad Thomas, Director of Hensley Beverage Company's Specialty Brands Division. "The craft cocktail is where craft beer was ten years ago, and this festival offers a great opportunity for craft producers to show the experimentation and innovation that's sweeping the spirits world while, at the same time, giving back to a great cause that benefits the entire community."

Tickets are on sale now. General Admission passes are $35 and include 15 tasting tickets. VIP passes are available for $75, and include 15 tastings of higher-end liquors and foods, plus access to a special lounge area. Samples include a variety of different spirits, plus samples of beer and specialty craft cocktails.

And to help ensure that attendees get home safe, Uber is offering first-time riders who book before April 20 using promo code "CraftSpirits" a ride to the festival for only $20.
