CASA GRANDE Ariz. -- Pinal County authorities have arrested a Coolidge man in connection with a sexual assault near Casa Grande.
Pinal County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Tamra Ingersoll said a tip led investigators to Dakota Blake Williams, 23.
According to Ingersoll, the suspect offered the 32-year-old victim a ride from an AM/PM convenience store in Casa Grande to Phoenix on Feb. 17. The woman said the suspect pulled off the freeway and sexually assaulted her in the nearby desert.
The victim said the man told her his name was William. She told authorities that he was driving a red older-model Firebird or Camaro with a T-top.
The sheriff's office released a sketch of the suspect last week and a tip through Silent Witness led investigators to Williams. They executed a search warrant on Tuesday and seized a 1994 red Pontiac Firebird.
Patrol deputies took Williams into custody in Casa Grande and the victim identified him through a photo lineup.
Williams was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center on one count of sexual assault and one count of kidnapping.
Detectives feel there is sufficient evidence that Williams has committed at least one other sexual assault in Pinal County. That case is still under investigation.
Anyone who may have been a victim of Williams is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 520-866-5111.
