PHOENIX -- A storm system dropping down the backbone of the Rocky Mountains will pass to the east of Arizona this weekend.
Outside of a few isolated snow showers in extreme eastern portions of the state, the system will usher in some breezy conditions at times and cooler temperatures. In metro Phoenix, that means we’ll see highs drop out of the mid-70s to right around the 70-degree mark both Saturday and Sunday.
The longer range forecast is finally coming into some focus with a chance for rain and snow in Arizona by this time next week. It’s too early to say how much precipitation we may see, but for sure, we’re seeing an overall shift in the weather pattern.
