PHOENIX -- A cold front is moving out of Arizona today, leaving behind a few clouds and some much cooler temperatures.
The storm sparked thunderstorms and light rain showers across the Valley last night. Gusty winds with thunderstorms in the West Valley even brought down a few trees and some people lost power for a brief time. Rainfall totals were generally under 0.1 inch across the Valley, and at Sky Harbor, only a trace of rain was recorded.
No more rain is expected today, but cooler temperatures have arrived.
After morning lows in the 50s, look for mostly sunny skies this afternoon and a high of just 74 degrees.
Tonight, overnight lows will be a bit cooler. Under clear skies, Valley suburbs could fall to the low 40s by tomorrow morning. Closer in town, look for lows in the low 50s.
Tomorrow will be nearly as cool with highs near 76 degrees. Sunshine is expected through the weekend, with temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s by then.
