MESA, Ariz. -- The FBI's Bank Robbery Task Force is asking for the public's help in identifying the "Color Me Bad Bandit."
Authorities said the female suspect has robbed four credit unions in the East Valley:
• July 11, Arizona Federal Credit Union, 7202 E. Southern Ave., Mesa;
• July 19, Mountain America Credit Union, 4325 E. Southern Ave., Mesa;
• July 31, SunWest Federal Credit Union, 1253 S. Gilbert Road, Mesa;
• Aug. 16, Arizona Federal Credit Union, 855 W. Baseline Road, Tempe.
During each incident, the suspect entered the credit union with a large bag and used a note to demand money and threaten employees. She then fled on foot.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic female with dark features and full lips, in her late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and 140 pounds.
During the most recent robbery, the suspect wore a long, leopard-print cape and carried a large black bag. She consistently attempts to conceal her identity by wearing large scarves or hats and sunglasses.
She has been dubbed the "Color Me Bad Bandit" due to her colorful disguises.
