STATEWIDE -- A strong and cold storm system continues its trek into Arizona.

Rain and snow began overnight in the high country and will spread across the state today as a cold front moves through. Rain totals should be fairly light for the deserts of the state, and the Valley has only about a 30 percent chance of showers Wednesday and Wednesday night. The high country should see 4 to 6 inches of snow in spots like Flagstaff and the White Mountains.

Behind the front, a cold air mass moves into the state from the north. Valley highs will be in the low 60s on Thursday, but only peak in the low to mid 50s Friday through the weekend. Overnight lows will drop to the 30s in the Valley.

Another storm moves through on Saturday, bringing a chance of more snow to the high country and a slight chance of rain to the Valley on Saturday.
