PHOENIX, AZ - One of actor Robin Williams' close friends shared his sentiments about his passing.

Jimmy Walker, the man who created the star-studded "Celebrity Fight Night," said news of Williams' apparent suicide is devastating.

The two have known each other for several years. Walker says in addition to Williams' infectious smile and humor, what he'll remember most is the actor's caring heart.

Walker shared a picture of the two at one of the "Celebrity Fight Night" events where Williams helped raise more than $1 million.

Walker says his friend was a philanthropist who took the cause to benefit the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute very seriously.

He says word of Williams' death left him stunned to near silence.

"I was stunned, like everyone. It can't be. I don't believe it," Walker said. "I knew that he had some issues at the end of his life and uh, but you don't expect that. You don't think that's going to happen."

Walker says he knew there were several close friends who tried to help Williams with his severe bouts of depression.
