PHOENIX (AP) -- An Arizona man accused of luring a 14-year-old Massachusetts boy to have sex has pleaded not guilty in the case.
Maricopa County prosecutors say 47-year-old Brad David Cooper entered his plea Monday. His next scheduled court date is an Aug. 12 initial pretrial conference.
Cooper was arrested June 11 at his Chandler home on suspicion of sexual conduct with a minor, molestation of a child and sexual exploitation.
Police say the teen was reported as kidnapped from his home in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
The boy told police he met Cooper online in April.
Cooper allegedly picked up the teen June 6 and they left by car for Arizona.
Police investigators say Cooper and the juvenile allegedly had sexual encounters while stopping in New York, Indiana and near the Oklahoma-New Mexico border.
