PHOENIX -- Mother Nature is cooperating with golfers and spectators for the Waste Management Phoenix Open this week at TPC Scottsdale.

Temperatures are expected to tick upward of five to 12 degrees warmer than normal in the coming days across the Valley as high pressure dominates the region.

A weak area of low pressure tracking southeast from Southern California is expected to bring a blanket of clouds late Sunday night and into Monday morning, with perhaps a few isolated sprinkles for Southern Arizona.

That cloud cover will keep morning lows pretty mild, ranging from the upper 40s and low 50s Valleywide on Monday. Skies are expected to quickly clear by noon. Phoenix should see an afternoon high of around 75 degrees.

For Tuesday, expect sunny skies with lows in the low to mid 40s and highs in the mid 70s. By Wednesday and into Thursday, some Valley communities will see temperatures at the 80-degree mark.

Our weather pattern will change starting late Friday and into Saturday as our jet stream takes a dive southward. This will allow moisture to move into the region and temperatures to drop several degrees.

The long range forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of showers Saturday in the Valley.

Stay tuned as we track the changes.
