PHOENIX -- A Phoenix woman is pretty happy she had a surveillance camera installed, but it didn't discover a burglar.

Video caught someone setting her car on fire at her home near 23rd Avenue and Beardsley Road. The suspect reportedly walked up, poured gasoline on the car, lit it on fire and then ran off.
Dorian Holdt said she was at home Friday when she heard a loud explosion then looked outside to see her car burning.

She's not sure why someone would want to do that to her.

"I'm sure there are people out here that aren't happy with me, but nobody that would do something like this," Holdt said. "The carport almost caught on fire. It could have burned my house down. It could have blown the car up. It's like the guy was out to kill me."

The car appears to be a total loss. Holt said it's her only transportation.

She has turned the surveillance video over to police, who are now investigating.
