FLORENCE, Ariz. -- A Casa Grande man was arrested after Pinal County sheriff's deputies seized guns and marijuana from his vehicle.
Deputies were assisting the Tohono O'Odham Police Department with a shots fired call Monday night, according to sheriff's spokesman Tim Gaffney. Officers were looking for a light-colored truck, which allegedly fled the scene after the shots were fired.
Deputies located a 1997 Ford truck in a ditch and detained the driver.
Deputies searched his vehicle and reported finding a loaded Glock 17 handgun, a Smith and Wesson .38-caliber handgun, a stolen .357-caliber handgun, seven glass jars containing hydroponic marijuana, and marijuana-smoking pipes.
Anthony Lara, 19, was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center on three counts of possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony offense, one count of possession of marijuana, nine counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, one count of possession of a stolen firearm and three counts of possession of a firearm in a vehicle by a person under age 21.
Lara said he was a "medical marijuana card holder in California."
