PHOENIX -- A red-light runner T-boned a Phoenix Fire Department ambulance on its way to a hospital with a patient early Sunday morning.
The impact caused the ambulance to tip onto its side.
Witnesses told police the driver was going about 60 to 70 miles per hour at the time of the wreck on Seventh Street near Broadway Road in Phoenix.
The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital and suffered some broken bones. The two passengers in the car and the ambulance personnel were said to be OK after the crash.
The female patient was taken to the hospital by another ambulance.
Police are looking into whether the driver of the car was impaired.
