SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Vice President Joe Biden is such a big fan of the Affordable Care Act, he even wants Canadians to get in on the plan that he once called a, “big (expletive) deal.”

The VP made a surprise stop Friday at Scottsdale’s Butterfield’s Pancake House, where he tried selling ObamaCare to customers, including a young woman sitting outside the restaurant.

"You should sign up. We've got to make sure every young person signs up for health care.  It's affordable. You can get subsidies. If you don't want to do it for yourself, do it for your parents. Give them peace of mind," Biden said.

The woman later told us she’s not even a United State citizen. She’s visiting from Canada.

"I didn't know if I should say, sorry, Canadian; don't know if I can help you out," said the woman, who only identified herself as Jackie. “He's for it; I'm for it. I hope it works out here."

No big deal as Biden as moved on, shaking hands with another woman – a U.S. citizen this time --  who said her daughter wouldn’t have health coverage without ObamaCare.

“Well, your daughter is lovely,” Biden said, looking at the woman’s daughter. Before moving in for a close hug, Biden asked, “How old are you, child?”

Biden posed for a picture with the 26-year-old, then got into an SUV and drove off to a private fund-raising dinner.
