PHOENIX - It's always a sad day when one of Arizona's Family leaves. Today is one of those days. 3TV employees received the news just two hours before the 9pm newscast where Beverly Kidd would announce her departure to her on-air, online and IRL friends.
Here's a copy of the email sent to the 3TV staff from KTVK 3TV News Director, Brad Remington;
"I won’t bury the lead. Beverly Kidd has come to us and told us she needs to step away from the business and focus on her new husband and their three children.
Beverly has asked that her last day at 3TV be Dec. 30th. She is scheduled to be off next week and then will return for a week on the air.
Bev came to 3TV from Virginia Beach about 10 years ago to anchor the weekend morning newscasts. Four years ago, she helped launch the 9 p.m. newscast, which she is understandably proud of, both for its quality and ratings growth.
We will miss you Bev, but we understand, and we wish you well in this new role. You will always be part of Arizona’s family."
