TEMPE, Ariz.-- An assistant band instructor at Tempe High School has been arrested for alleged sexual conduct with a sixteen-year-old female student.

Andrew Islas, 23, is facing six counts of sexual conduct with a minor.

Tempe police says that high school administrators contacted them on Tuesday when they found out about the relationship between Islas and the student.

According to police, the sexual contact between the two occurred multiple times for about three months. They believe that some of the incidents occurred at Islas' Chandler home and are looking into other possible locations. It's not yet known if any of the sexual contact occurred at Tempe High School.

A spokeswoman for the Tempe Police Department says investigators have identified only one victim but are asking anyone who has additional information regarding this case to call Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311.
