PHOENIX (AP) -- Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer is set to act on more bills sent to her by Arizona lawmakers as they wrapped up the 2014 legislative session last week.
The Republican governor has more than 40 bills still on her desk and will consider many on Wednesday. She has signed 243 bills since the session began in January, almost all in the past two weeks. She also has vetoed 19 bills and cut spending from the state budget using her line-item veto power.
She's still considering bills setting minimum safety standards for commercial trampoline courts, allowing optometrists to prescribe more drugs and making it a felony to post "revenge porn" photos of a former lover.
Brewer has a May 9 deadline to act on the bills on her desk.
