FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- An Arizona man charged in the 2010 death of a Utah sheriff's deputy has pleaded guilty to murder and other charges.

Scott Curley entered the plea Friday in Coconino County Superior Court in Flagstaff. Prosecutors agreed to drop a pornography case against Curley in exchange for his guilty plea in the murder case.

Curley is set to be sentenced on the murder, burglary, theft and aggravated assault charges next month.

Authorities say he fatally shot 41-year-old Kane County, Utah, Deputy Brian Harris with a high-powered rifle near the Arizona-Utah border.

Following the shooting, Curley fled on foot into the wilderness. He was captured four days later near Kanab, Utah.
