PHOENIX (AP) -- The Arizona Legislature adjourned its current session early Wednesday after working all night in a push to finish up its regular work for the year.

The all-night push to adjourn led to the approval of bills to set a new limit on state spending, recognize a Colt revolver as the state's official firearm and expand a tax credit program for donations to private school scholarships

Earlier in the session, lawmakers approved majority Republicans' top priorities, such as a budget-balancing plan and an economic development package.

The session began Jan. 10 and ended at 5:25 a.m. MST on Wednesday.

The conclusion of the session came fairly early this year.

Last year, lawmakers finished their session in April and two years ago they completed it in July.
