LAS VEGAS -- It was an evening of bright lights and big country at the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas Sunday.  Country music fans gave the nod to Taylor Swift as entertainer of the year award for the second straight year.

Miranda Lambert's "Revolution" won album of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night.

This the second time Lambert has won the honor. She also won for the album "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" in 2007.

Lambert beat out her friends, Lady Antebellum, in the category. But the trio had won two awards Sunday, song and single record of the year for their crossover hit "Need You Now."

Lambert's "Four The Record" was named album of the year. Lambert and husband Blake Shelton continue to reign as the top male and female vocalists.

American Idol winner Scotty McCreery won the fan-voted top new artist.
