TEMPE, Ariz. -- It was a chaotic scene Saturday night at Arizona State University in Tempe as hundreds of students tried to buy tickets to the Pac-12 Football Championship Game.

The rush for tickets was at Wells Fargo Arena right after the ASU Sun Devils beat the Arizona Wildcats at Sun Devil Stadium.

As police tried to get control of the crowd, one student allegedly became abusive toward an officer.

Jason Heckendorn, 21, was arrested for aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, according to court documents.

Police said Heckendorn refused to leave the arena. When an officer tried to force him out, Heckendorn allegedly pushed the officer in the chest with both hands.

Officers said Heckendorn was intoxicated and did not stop fighting with them until they pointed a Taser at him.

"I shot the student being arrested here," said ASU student Greg Cameron, who captured some video and pictures of the melee. "I saw one kid crowd surf. I saw another kid get hit with trash barrel."

The Pac-12 Football Championship Game is in Tempe on Saturday at 5:45 p.m.

The Arizona State Sun Devils will host the Stanford Cardinal for the right to represent the Pac-12 in the 100th Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.
