GILBERT, Ariz. -- Kids and teachers at Val Vista Lakes Elementary School in Gilbert were in for a shock Thursday morning, when an ASU football player walked into a classroom with a special delivery.

3TV's Gina Maravilla was there as Sun Devil quarterback Taylor Kelly helped deliver season tickets to a teacher who's a big ASU fan.

Sixth grade teacher Bill Hardy doesn't miss a game, and he goes with a group of ten other teachers. Imagine his reaction as Kelly hand-delivered his season tickets.

Most season ticket-holders get their tickets in the mail. So why the personalized delivery? "We just want to be different," says Kelly. "Just do a lot of unique things. It's a great feeling for them and for the kids to be out here."

It was certainly a great feeling for Hardy as the football player handed over his tickets. "This is crazy," the teacher smiled. "It's unbelievable. I got a phone call saying I won, and this is amazing."

The quarterback also had a special message for the kids.

"Just give and earn respect," he told the kids. "It goes a long way. That's a big reason I'm successful today, because I had great parents and teachers and coaches who told me that. So as long as you guys do that and have a great attitude, your dreams will come true.
