PHOENIX -- After a brief cool-down, 90-degree temperatures return to the Valley of the Sun Tuesday.
Phoenix Sky Harbor reported an afternoon high of 85 degrees Monday, after a morning low of 66.
Westerly flow will pick up Tuesday and continue through Thursday, allowing temperatures to rise to the low 90s each day. Skies will be sunny to mostly sunny.
A disturbance tracking along the Arizona/Utah border Wednesday kicks up winds once again across the entire state during the afternoon. The Valley will see sustained winds of about 20 miles per hour, while the high country will see speeds of around 30 miles per hour.
On Thursday, high temperatures across the Valley are expected to drop down to the upper 80s and continue through Saturday.
A weak storm system tracking across the state late Friday and into Saturday may bring a stray shower to the Valley, but chances are very slim. Otherwise, look for partly cloudy skies.
Sunshine and low 90 degree temperatures make another appearance on Easter Sunday in the Phoenix-metro area.
