PHOENIX -- A reward is being offered for information regarding the theft of refrigerant canisters from the Deer Valley School District.

More than 100 commercial grade "R22" refrigerant canisters were stolen from the district's warehouse property near 21st Avenue and Deer Valley Road between Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. and Feb. 22 at noon.

Phoenix police said an unknown suspect or suspects forced open a gate to the property and removed the canisters. The canisters weigh approximately 30 pounds each.

The total value of the loss is approximately $60,000.

There is no vehicle or suspect description.
