Kammy Brown likes to save a buck. That's why she goes to the Palm Valley Cinema in Goodyear.

Palm Valley Cinema has been offering free kid-friendly movies to families this summer.

"This is a great thing that they do," she said. "It's a great thing to do for the summer."

That great thing she's talking about is free movies. Yes, you heard me right, free!

All summer long, Dickinson's Palm Valley Cinema has been offering free kid-friendly movies to parents and their children, who all claim right about this time that they're bored and have nothing to do with their time.

"Dickinson says the community has given so much to them that they wanted to give back to the community," said Rick Kasting of Palm Valley Cinema.

The Poush family loves the idea of saving money. Heck, they didn't even spring for snacks.

"Mr. Cheap doesn't want to spend anything on tickets or spend anything on popcorn," Mrs. Poush said.

Well, at least I'm not the only one. And I'm trying to pass that trait on to my boys who, of course, showed up for that free movie.

So if you're looking for a dirt-cheap deal, check out Palm Valley Cinema.

With all the money you saved on getting in you'll have plenty left over to buy all that junk food.

The free movies are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Next week they're playing "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." The next week it's "Ice Age ll" and they wrap things up with "Dreamer."

Palm Valley Cinema isn't the only one offering free movies. Some of the big boys like AMC Theatres are doing something called Movie Camp, which is the same thing, free movies.
