Dirt-cheap digital cameras

For a lot of folks, spring break is some time this month.

With that in mind, you'll probably be taking a lot of photos if you're planning family activities.

But which camera is the best dirt-cheap digital?

When it comes to shopping for a digital camera, 3 On Your Side wanted just enough camera to get the job done without going overboard.

The best deal was found at Sears.

The camera is made by Argus and is a 3.2 megapixel, which is good because experts say you really don't want anything less than 3 megapixels. For around $69.99, it's a dirt-cheap deal.

At Wal-Mart, you can find a Polaroid iZone, a 3.2 megapixel camera, for around $78.

And the iZone won't burn up batteries because it comes with its own charger, which is important because digital cameras tend to use a lot of juice.

For around $80, Ultimate Electronics carries a 4 megapixel Vivatar.

At Target, they sell a Vivatar 3.1 megapixel for just under $80.

And, finally, we found a Kodak Easyshare. It's a 3.2 megapixel camera that you can find at Circuit City for around $100.

So, if you haven't upgraded to a digital camera yet, now is the time, especially since technology is getting better and prices are getting lower.

One important thing we found out is that you'll probably want to buy more memory for your camera.

For an additional $20, adding a bigger memory card means you'll be able to photograph and hold more photos in your camera.
