DIRT-CHEAP DEALS

$99 Dirt Cheap Furniture Deal

06:07 PM Mountain Standard Time on Friday, January 27, 2006

By Gary Harper / 3 On Your Side

The 99 Dollar Furniture Store -- the name pretty much says it all.

"Our prices are the same everyday," said storeowner, Pam Allara. "We don't mark things up and then have sales. Our prices are set everyday."

And those prices are set at only $99.

But what kind of furniture can you really get for $99? Well, you just might be surprised.

For example, how about something for your kitchen?

"This is a solid wood set," Allara said. "Ninety-nine dollars for the table. Again, it's solid wood. And four chairs with cushions. It's a deal."

No, that's more like a Dirt Cheap Deal. And savvy consumers love it. Terry Casher came in after a friend told him about the prices.

"You pick up a tag, bring it too the cashier, pay for it," said Casher. And the best part is, you take it with you."

Although all items in the store are $99, not everything comes as a set for that price, so keep that in mind.

For instance, one futon I saw is actually considered two pieces.

"It’s a great deal. Ninety-nine dollars for the pad and $99 for the frame," said Allara. So, it's $198. Out the door, $198. It's a great deal and we have them in stock."

So, if you're looking for a Dirt Cheap Deal on furniture, you might want to consider the 99 Dollar Furniture Store.

"It’s an awesome deal," said Allara. "You could do your entire home for under $1000."

A second 99 Dollar Furniture Store is opening in Glendale in February.
