PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. – Police in Prescott Valley are looking for those responsible for causing up to $35,000 in damages to a semi truck.
Officers responded to a report of property damage Monday in reference to expensive parts that had been stolen from a 1996 Peterbilt semi truck.
Police believe those responsible cut the rear axle and tool boxes from the truck sometime in the weeks leading up to Monday. The truck was parked near Old Fain Road and Sara Jane Lane.
It appears the suspects used some sort of cutting tool to detach the rear of the truck behind the sleeper cab. Also stolen were the tool boxes valued at about $2,000 and other miscellaneous parts.
The estimated total damage caused to the truck is about $35,000.
Anyone with information on this theft is asked to call 928-772-5167 or Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
