PHOENIX -- A suspected hit-and-run driver is facing a variety of charges after allegedly hitting several cars in northwest Phoenix Friday morning.

According to police, the suspect, identifed as 18-year-old Tyler P. Abbott, hit a neighbor's car when leaving an apartment complex at 43rd Avenue and Bell Road. That person then hit two other parked cars, a Honda Accord and a Chevy Impala.

A few blocks away, Abbott apparently failed to negotiate a turn and plowed into a pickup truck that was parked in the driveway of a home, pushing it back into a block wall and the garage door. The impact was so intense it actually caused the house to shake.

The 1992 Dodge pickup, which was loaded with tools, was pushed back a full 4 feet. Inside the damaged garage was a 1970 GTO Judge the homeowner was in the process of restoring.

Police say Abbott was booked on two counts of leaving the scene of an accident. The 18-year old was also charged with one count of DUI-drugs and one count of possession of prescription drugs.

There was a female passenger in the car with Abbott at the time of the wrecks. Police said she is a juvenile and has not been charged.

No injuries were reported.
