PHOENIX -- Two men are recovering from gunshot wounds and four suspects are on the run after a home invasion in Phoenix shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said four men were in their home near 35th Avenue and Buckeye Road when four males entered, kicked open the bedroom doors then demanded money and drugs.

The suspects, who spoke Spanish, were wearing ski masks and carrying rifles.

Two residents were shot in the leg, but their injuries were not life-threatening.

Crump said the victims did not indicate that any property was taken.

The suspects left in an unknown direction and are still outstanding.
