PHOENIX -- Police are searching for two men who robbed a Maryvale gas station while armed with a machete.

Two men reportedly entered the Shell gas station store at Indian School Road and Maryvale Parkway around 2:40 a.m. Monday, July 1 and aggressively cornered the clerk, demanding money.

Police said one suspect followed the clerk behind the register and at one point made a motion as if he was going to strike the clerk with the machete.

The suspects fled on foot with the money.

The armed suspect was wearing white shorts with a dark stripe on the side, and he had tattoos on his upper right arm and chest. The other suspect was wearing black shorts and shoes. Neither suspect was wearing a shirt.
